Planning
Use these answers when you are still deciding where to go, how long to travel, or what route fits your group.
Start with your travel month, total days, budget, pickup city, and preferred trip mood. If you want mountains and cafes, Manali works well. If you want a wilder road journey, Jispa or Spiti fits better. If you want pilgrimage, compare Kedarnath, Do Dham, and Chardham by duration and route effort.
No. You can share a rough idea like snow, yatra, backwaters, Northeast, slow travel, or adventure. Rivtara can then suggest matching destinations and packages based on season, group size, and budget.
Yes, customization is possible depending on date, group size, route feasibility, hotel category, vehicle availability, and operational conditions. Fixed departures are the base reference, and custom quotes can be prepared separately.
Starting price is the lowest listed package price for a standard sharing basis. The final quote may change based on departure date, room sharing, hotel category, pickup and drop point, transport, GST, add-ons, or customization.
Booking
These questions cover what happens once you shortlist a package and are ready to confirm the trip.
Shortlist the package, confirm the departure date and traveler count, review inclusions and exclusions, then pay the booking amount. After payment, Rivtara shares the confirmation details and next steps.
Most package notes mention that the booking amount is non-refundable. Always check the package pricing notes and cancellation policy before paying because terms can differ by route and package.
GST is included only when the package specifically says so. If the package note says rates are exclusive of GST, the applicable GST will be added to the final billing amount.
The balance payment timeline is shared during confirmation. It usually needs to be cleared before travel as per the final payment schedule for that package.
Package Details
Read these if you want clarity on what the package contains and how fixed the plan is.
Each package detail page lists the route overview, departure dates, itinerary days, pricing, cost includes, cost excludes, notes, and cancellation policy.
Yes. Mountain routes, yatra routes, and Northeast routes can change due to weather, road blocks, permits, local authority rules, traffic, strikes, or safety concerns. Rivtara will coordinate the best practical alternative wherever possible.
Departure dates are subject to availability, operational feasibility, minimum group requirements where applicable, and final confirmation. Always confirm the exact date before making travel arrangements.
Hotels and vehicles depend on package category, availability, route conditions, and group size. Equivalent alternatives may be used if the originally planned option is not available.
During Travel
These answers help travelers understand support, preparation, and route realities once the journey begins.
A trip manager is included only when the package specifically mentions it and the required group conditions are met. Check the inclusions and package notes for the exact support details.
Carry a valid ID, warm layers, comfortable shoes, personal medicines, rain protection, reusable water bottle, power bank, and any route-specific essentials shared before departure.
Safety comes first. The route may be delayed, adjusted, or shortened depending on local conditions. Extra expenses caused by weather, road blocks, landslides, permits, or force majeure are handled as per the package terms.
No refund is usually provided for unused services such as hotel stays, meals, transfers, sightseeing, rides, entry fees, or optional activities if the traveler does not use them for any reason.
Cancellation
Use this section before changing plans or cancelling a confirmed trip.
Cancellation depends on the package-specific policy and the number of days left before travel. Refund percentages, if applicable, are calculated as per that package policy.
If a refund is due, processing may take time because suppliers, hotels, transport partners, and operational checks are involved. Some package policies mention that refund processing may take at least 90 days.
If a traveler misses a transfer or reporting time, any extra arrangement may be chargeable. The missed service is generally not refundable.
Use the Contact page or WhatsApp with your package name, travel date, traveler name, and issue. Clear information helps the team respond faster.
